Set up OrcaLinq without asking anyone.

New here? Read Getting started — it covers every step in order. If you only need the code on your website, go straight to the install guide for your platform. Everything else we have written is listed on this page, grouped by what you are trying to do.

Start here

The two pages most people need

Read the first if you have not set anything up yet. Go to the second if your account exists and the widget is not on your site.

Before you start

Two things worth knowing

  • Verifying your domain comes first. Everything after it depends on it, so do that step before you try to install anything. Pick a method.
  • Your widget key is shown once. Copy it when it appears. You can see the ready-made snippet again later in your dashboard under Domains → Installation — or read the key back off your own live page.
If that did not work

When a guide does not match your screen

  • The widget is not appearing. Open your dashboard and run Domains → Installation → Diagnose. It fetches your live page and names the cause.
  • The menu in the guide is not there. Other companies rename their menus. Look for the nearest match — "Custom Code", "Code Injection", "Head Code", "Custom HTML" all mean the same thing. Each install guide also lists the plan that host requires, because some of them hide the menu on cheaper plans.
  • The Shopify app is not in the App Store yet. That is correct, and there is a way in today — see Shopify before the App Store listing.
  • The assistant answers, but nothing reaches a person. Being listed on My Alerts is not the same as being reachable. Work through alerts are not arriving.
  • Still stuck. Email support@orcalinq.com and tell us your website address and which guide you were following.
